Thanks, about the only suggestion I can add would be to put some release agent on the receiver to avoid the sticking.
Does the gasbuster address this area of leakage or only on the underside??
The PRI gasbuster charging handle only addresses the issue from the underside. When I was running a PRI Gasbuster, I used the RTV silicon on it as well.
Thanks…give me a couple days & i’ll follow up w/ some pics for a 1st timer.
I’m not certain it will stop all together but still getting some eye burn on those rare calm days.
Forgot to address this in the article. But put a drop of CLP, Slip 2000, or simular lube on your finger on apply the lube to the upper receiver where the RTV silicon will touch the receiver. This will keep the RTV from sticking to the upper. You don’t need a lot of lube, just a light coat will keep it from sticking.
Hope this helps
Are you running a silencer now Artos?
Yes…I shoot 90% of the time with the can on.
usmc03, thanks again. I actually have some brownells release agent I use for bedding stocks but agree any light film of lube will do the trick since the area is so small.
