I have a new LMT and would like to swap the stock front sight out for a new flip-up, most likley from Magpul.
Is there a compatibilty issue if I retain the the LMT rear?

You mean you want to take out your FSB and put on a low profile GB,then an extended rail or do you have an MRP upper?
If I may ask, why go for a flip up front and keep the fixed rear?
Do you by any chance mean rear sight?
its compatible but how specifically did you want to swap the front sight?
