Okay, since you’re obviously a fortune-teller, exactly how do we not “comply” since we are not ammunition manufacturers? Are you gonna buck up and start making/selling millions of rounds of M855? I mean seriously, it’s a proposed ban on the manufacture and sale of M855…unless you’re Lake City/ATK/Federal/Winchester/etc. how exactly is anyone going to “rebel” against this?
Now, ban possession and see how many line up to turn their M855 in (hint: not many if any at all).
Banning the manufacture of something is waaayyy different than banning the possession of the same. Two totally different scenarios.
They’d only be banning the manufacture with intent to sell to the public. SO… Wtf are the ammo manufactures doing about this , anything? If the just stopped and said F no where is the gov going to get their bullets?
There are mechanisms to push back, very few seem to be willing to actually fight for their rights anymore though, so the chances of freemen finding their collective will and doing so is a little less than 1-2% chance I would guess.
The constitution is pretty clear on these matters.
But alas, liberty will die with a whimper and not a bang. Too much comfortability for people to lose; so instead they will trade their rights away piece by piece to maintain this temporary comfort, and when everything including their comfort is put on the chopping block, their will be no rights left and no will strong enough to overcome.
It is sad we lost what it was to be free men and refuse to sacrifice for what is just, honorable and right in this world. Sad indeed.
After 26 people were murdered in a single massacre, including 20 elementary school children, the statists couldn’t even get their “universal background checks” through a democrat controlled senate. 238 house members signed a letter opposing the ban on thee evil “armor piercing” rounds. The pendulum is going to swing our way in the near future, the left pushed too hard and Americans don’t take kindly to this kind of ****ery going on with the regime. Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Scott Walker, Bobby Jindal and Rand Paul would all sign any pro-2a legislation that crossed their desk in the Oval Office. So long as we don’t get Jeb Bush (moderately pro-2a) or fat bastard (anti-2a) I like our chances of getting something done. Hell, even Ben Carson I believe would sign pro-2a legislation. So yes, call me optimistic but I like our chances of gaining ground.
And you think any of those guys will be elected? Go out and vote (freedom needs all the votes it can get), but don’t get your hopes up. The Republican party has fractionated to the point where they are no longer the force they used to be. They are going to need a major redefinition, and MUCH more real action from the guys who got put in office last November in order to not disenfranchise their base yet again. I’d love to say this is the beginning of the end of the 2 party system, but I’m afraid of what that might mean for our country. The M855 ban isn’t going away, either- it’s going to take more than a congressional petition in order to stop it. The president and his cronies don’t care what Congress thinks, and they have proven they can avoid any negative consequences by hammer-checking a laptop or manufacturing a crisis to distract the public.
I sincerely hope I’m wrong for the country’s sake. But I’m afraid this abuse of power has gone on far too long with the tolerance (and support from some) of the public to be reversible.
When the money stops, (and all the economic blogs I’ve been reading suggest that’s going to happen at some point, and I figure in the near future) We all are going to feel the pain. What I figure will likely happen is mass rioting in large citys by the FSA, when they figure out the EBT cards don’t work any more. These people are usually the least prepared for anything, and they’ll all make one last mad dash to the nearest store to grab something… I too, am frustrated… I’m 60, and the country I grew up in, doesn’t exist anymore, While we’re not as bad a Nazi Germany in the 1930’s we’re not all that far away from it either.
Like it or not, the money running out will probably the catalyst that will force change… At that point, I’m afraid things will get real ugly…
You REALLY believe that the average American wants: “Machine guns, high cap clips, silencers, night scopes, military grade hardware.” in the hands of average people? They do not understand it, they do not already clamor for it, the media will crucify any politician pushing for it, and there will be no “sporting” justification to any of it. The average American can not wrap their minds around why you need a suppressor or a class III.
I am willing to bet my children’s college funds that in my lifetime, we will not see an easing of NFA requirements. Constitutional carry? Likely! Machine guns? Lol.
Yeah, you’re probably right. However, I don’t hold the “average American” in very high regard; in fact, I think they’re f***ing idiots for the most part.
Then why couldn’t the democrats in a democratically controlled senate after a horrific massacre even get “universal background checks” through? Why before 41p do we have something like 8 states who preemptively passed “shall certify” for NFA (and I guarantee 15-20 more states would pass it quickly after 41p implementation, including my state with more states trickling in over time)? As far as NFA items goes, it’s not hard to make an arguement why a short barrel rifle would be handy for home defense and how a suppressor is hearing safety equipment. I agree full auto is a hard sell, but I do believe the books could open to newly produced machine guns again, people are more pro 2a than you think.
You ironically brought up constitutional carry, which maybe legal some places is a political loser. Constituonal carry was shot down here in Florida, mainly because it would involve making open carry legal for anyone. While people support one’s rigjt to bear arms, it’s generally agreed open carriers are douchebags. We will get “shall certify” for those evil NFA items after 41p goes through, within a year.
