OK so first people started making them for the AR and now I see them being made for pistols.
I have never shot anything with a flat trigger so can someone explain the benefits/drawbacks?
If an aftermarket flat trigger installed on a Glock or other pistol with pivoting trigger handles similar to a 1911 trigger, I would think it would be a distinct advantage. In my opinion, forward and backward motion is better than pivoting motion when firing rapid, precise shots with a pistol.

I have a flat faced Geissele in my Colt M4 and like it quite a bit. As mentioned it is more forgiving on finger placement.
Bill Geissele also claims the flat trigger makes the trigger seem about a pound lighter in the straight configuration. If you have a 5 lbs trigger, it would “feel” more like a 4 lbs trigger. I’m yet to try one though.

I prefer flat triggers. I have seen no drawbacks. I currently run std triggers but will probably get a flat ar trigger down the road and put a flat apex in my m&p once I build it up for competitions.
I had a cz with a flat trigger years ago and liked it very much.
I don’t know if it is based in science or emotion, but for me it feels like there are no wrong answers in finger placement.
Ever since I went to flat bow triggers for my AR, I simply don’t feel fatigue, don’t worry about too much pad/not enough pad and so forth.
Flat triggers for more pistols would be quite a welcome thing. In fact the curve trigger feels weird now. I feel mature enough in my shooting that I can indulge in things that feel like cheating
