There are loads of recorded instances where an armed citizen prevented a crime.
There are loads of recorded instances where cops ignore(or even help) other cops commit crimes.
What we don’t have are many instances of cops interdicting other cops that commit crimes against citizens and when that does happen the good guy tends to get hammered by the majority.
The legal system allowing agencies to set policies that violate laws/rights without consequences clicks in to that last one and goes with my mention of how the legal system effectively encourages police to lie.
Calling what would typically be referred to as perjury a “Brady/Giglio offense” when the dishonesty comes from le (to avoid consequences) goes along with what would normally be referred to as kidnapping being called something like “wrongful arrest” when committed by police.
