First range trip with my new Sig 516

Left work a bit early yesterday and brought my new AR to the range (along with my fiance and and her new buckmark). I am still waiting on my scope and two cases of ammo, but they are scheduled to arrive this friday. I did have 200 rounds of 1980s manufacture 55g military surplus to use yesterday though.
So far I am very pleased with the rifle. Only 200 rounds so far, so it is too soon to judge, but so far I love it. No malfunctions, windage was good from the factory, elevation was easily set and was very close to my battlefield zero that I established many years ago, which was surprising since the Sig is a flat top. After the range, the cleaning seemed a bit easier than the DI versions, but we will see after more ammo arrives. So far, I love it, hope that doesn’t change…

I would like to add one of these to my collection. I missed one on armslist a few months ago. Enjoy you’re new toy!

History repeating… https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=116481

Among others I have 2 Noveske’s, an LMT a BCM4 and the SIG 516.The Noveske’s are my favorites but the SIG 516 comes very, very close and at a much lower price. You will love you 516. Very accurate and dependable.

Oh damn!

Are my postings incorrect? Posted that I picked up a new AR, which I am very happy about, then posted after shooting it for the first time. I would have posted in the same thread, but some dickhead closed the post, saying it should have been on facebook, which I don’t read, so I’m not sure what gets posted there…anyway, really liking the new rifle, especially since I was able to get it at 1/2 price. Looking forward to a longer shooting session on saturday. I will post targets if anyone is interested.

Read more, post less, and complain not at all.

Re-posting the same thread as one already closed…yes.

Calling the moderators dickheads…even more yes.
