In all my time on that SM platform, never seen it go down like it is now. What’s interesting is last night a 60 Minutes show really blew the doors open about FB as a person who worked there copied thousands of documents clearly showing FB is well aware they’re assisting the downfall of our democracy, culture, in favor of $. I watched it, none of it really a big surprise, but maybe it caused some group or gubment to collapse their chit.
ETA; maybe it’s just a number of people hitting it because of Facebook, but it does seem to be working. Is it down right now.com appears to be up. It does say that Facebook has been down for over four hours. That’s some cash money. And you wonder for every minute that goes by how many people decide never to come back.

It’s not just facebook, or even facebook related platforms even. Twitter is down, some cell service is down, tiktok allegedly is down for many people, and then just a hodgepodge of other random stuff. They did warn us about the coming cyberpandemic, so maybe we shouldn’t be shocked.
Just a DNS issue caused by a bad router update. The architects are not on site (because of Covid) so you have only minions at the racks that dont know how to authenticate the systems. Total FUBAR. People are jumping on planes. They are literally losing millions of dollars a minute.
No grand conspiracy, just some shit IT work in the days of covid.
Twitter has been down intermittently, so now that it’s affecting things outside Facebook’s ecosystem I don’t know if coincidence is a possibility at this point. Also seeing a bunch of other stuff reporting outages, even some cell networks. Also saw a blurb about BOA systems being down and some people unable to do banking.
I’m not expert on the topic, but I’d expect you gotta have serious mojo to take FB out and the other platforms they own. I’d think gubment level mojo, or at least high level hackers, but a WAG on my end. If unrelated to that 60 mins exposure, hell of coincidence that.
I’m well aware of my lane, and unlike some, generally pretty good about staying in it. Still not buying this is pure coincidence, but stranger things have happened.
