Haven’t followed the link because I was confused by the thread title. Is it a statement of fact or a request?
The person’s legs are visible and movements aren’t jerky/birdy enough. ![]()
Hopefully the kids know that it’s fake, and don’t stand around like that when an actual predator is about.
Yeah you can see the operator’s legs, but there’s still alot of robotics going on in there. Check this one out too. You have to love the triceratops. I wonder how much one of those things cost.
very cool.
imagine if that were real, and you had to feed and walk the damn thing.
you’d need wheelbarrow for a pooper scooper and a nuclear powered cattle prod to keep him from eating you. ![]()
Ok…I’m pretty sure if I turned a corner and was confronted with that I’d open fire.
And reload.
And open fire again.
Maybe letargets needs to come up with dinosaur targets a la that more recent post here.
That is pretty cool though.
God bless that woman who puts her hand out as though that thing were a dog.

mmmm
decision loop has to be able to discriminate herbivore vs. carnivore
-
carnivore? —> empty gun at critter, reload, repeat. sell carcass to museum, buy lifetime supply of AR goodies.
-
herbivore? —> capture it alive, sell to a zoo, buy lifetime supply of AR goodies.
Thats a fantastic way to get kids (and adults) to a museum. Yeah you can see the operators legs but so what. Also there is a lot of robots involved in that, so from a technical stand point its impressive as all get out.
Did you read post #5?

The technical expertise involved in creating those…cyborg dinosaur thingies…is impressive.
Personally as a museum visitor I’d still like a warning that dinosaur-bots would be wandering the corridors of the museum. They are cool as hell…but not something I would want to stumble across by surprise.
My family went to that show when they were here in Birmingham.
Pretty cool.
Right… Nothing like surprising someone with a CCW. LOL
Took my family when it was in Denver and I was a bit underwhelmed. It started 5 minutes late, which with a 4 and 2 year old is a life time. After 20 minutes, the stopped for a 20 minute ‘intermission’. A final 40 minute section was where I started to nod off. The kids liked it, but lost interest in it too after about an hour.
What you need is the fundamentalist Christian version where Jesus and Noah fight the dinosaurs. Now that I would payto see. The best parts are the raptors like this one and the T-Rex are the best parts. My kid did talk about it for awhile, and tells people he saw one when asked.
The biggest PITA was that they sold these whirling fiber-optic flashlights, which the kid next to my wife ran the whole show. Nothing like a dinosaur walking in front of you, to a background of a technicolor spinning lightshow.
HAHA yea it did seem to get a little long after the intermission but the kids did enjoy it:cool:
Took the kids to see this, 4 year old dug it, 2 year old not so much.
Lots of flashlight use that night to show there were no dinosaurs under any beds.
HA! Me too.
Just in time for Halloween! Imagine the kiddies you could scare with that by hiding in the trees! With that being said, I have officially proven that I am not ready to have children.
