while cleaning my bolt after a 200 round session i noticed that the ejector roll pin was hanging out 1/16"-1/8". when i tapped it back in it seemed to go in a little too easy. it is a jp enhanced bolt with about 1300 rounds through it. does this sort of thing just happen once in a while or has something gone wrong. i’m thinkin maybe i should replace the roll pin. i don’t really want to buy another bolt. thanks in advance gents.
Yes I suggest you do so. I wonder if your hole is out of spec? This generally doesn’t happen.
Could be the pin is out of spec.
This was an issue on our HK416s, they somehow used pins that didn’t conform to the metric ISO/DIN spec.
jp sent me a couple new role pins very quickly. the new pin fit nice and snug. 160 rounds without a hiccup.
