I have all but barrel lying around for a good build. Every time I used to go to buy a barrel they were out of stock on the bolts. Now when I peak they do not even have the bolts listed at all.
Anyone gotten a 5.45 bolt from them lately?
I’ve been wondering about this myself. The bolts are not currently available on their site. I thoroughly enjoy my BA 5.45 setup. However, if B.A. gets out of the 5.45 game I will probably move away from the caliber.
Likewise, are they still offering full uppers? Or just barrels now?
Pretty sure that when Aero bought them out, BA stopped selling full uppers.
That’s a bummer. I have two bolts from them that are brand new, just haven’t had a chance to take them out. But if they are not doing replacement parts anymore, I may just sell off what I have and move away from the caliber.
BA/Aero have changed a lot recently. Barrels I used to buy from them are no longer made/offered along with many other types as well.

Adams Arms offers 5.45 barrels, bolts and complete uppers. Also Huldra Arms (basically a re-branded AA) sold by Mills Farm and Fleet. AA offers several different lengths and barrel configs in 5.45 and they are still widely available. Their piston rifles do shoot 1MOA, I have gotten several 3, 4 and 5 shot groups (usually 1 flyer with 7N6) in 0.75~1 MOA at 110 yds (prone supported with bipod). If you have an investment in 5.45 ammunition might be worth taking a look. Also ASC offers good 5.45 mags as long as you de-burr the spot weld inside the back curve (some of them have a burr that causes the follow to hang up).
