Daweoo AR-100

Cope’s has one in, always thought these were cool rifles. This will make someone a happy camper, complete with original box and accessories. As a EBR junkie I always get a little weak in the knees when I spy one still in the box like the day it was imported.

SO happy I purchased mine at the price I did
I have to admit, the 'Woo’s been a reliable companion for o̶v̶e̶r̶ t̶w̶o̶ ̶d̶e̶c̶a̶e̶s̶ almost three decades now without even a single hiccup.

I got one off of Gunbroker a month or two back but when I took it apart for cleaning and initial inspection, I found that the gas piston was broken from the carrier. No replacement parts were available and rather than try to have it welded together, I returned it to the seller. He was very good about it and one of these days, I will look for another one but that one was just not to be :frowning:

Daewoos are awesome rifles. I really want to add the little DI wire folder next to my AR-100. $1200-$1300 is palatable for the AR-100, but that much $$$ for the DI is a little too much IMHO.

That is insane. With some patience, a comparable example can be found for around $1500… these are not “rare” rifles.

Are you telling me my Cat threw up on $2500 the other day? (It’s ok, I promptly cleaned it off and re-oiled it.)

I had mine out of the safe.

By posting the link I wasn’t saying: “wow great price on a rare rifle”.

Simply passing on the availability of the rifle. I can’t remember the last time I saw one NIB. Maybe they are plentiful where you are at but no so much here.

Your kidding me, right? My comment regarding the INSANE price of the rifle wasn’t directed at you.

If someone wants to pay $2500 for that rifle, they can knock themselves out. Ignorance is bliss (for the seller/buyer banking on it).

I bought both of my AR-100/K2 Daewoos off of Gunbroker. One was new in box (though my box was a little beat up after previous owner wrapped box up in a roll of packing tape for shipment, but everything was in it) for less than $1450 shipped. I recently paid $1100 for a very early import in excellent condition, couldn’t pass up on the 2 digit serial number!

These were relatively inexpensive AR type rifles when they were imported. Quite a few were sold. If you want a pre ban Daewoo, watch Gunbroker.

AR-100/K2/Max II are same rifles with piston gas system and 1:7 (1:7.3) barrels and FN like folding stocks… different names coincided with importers, there was even some overlap with previous names machined off receiver and re-stamped. For whatever it is worth……

Didn’t take your other post as offensive. Merely trying to convey I wasn’t suggesting it was a steal of deal.

Yup, online is the only place I shop for firearms when there is something I want. Gun shows, dealers, etc. have to pay for their brick and mortar. My father and uncle were looking at getting into Daewoos before the '89 import ban. Sadly they decided on Mini-14s, back then AR’s were not as common place and Colt’s were super expensive compared to imported rifles.

My how times change . . .

double tap.

Wish I had been around (old enough) to invest in some of the cool imports from the '80s and beforehand, before the bans turned everything upside down. Of course, we all would have… and we’d be rich!

One one my Daewoo-woo-hoos “threw up” on a cat once, if that makes you feel any better?!
