Any suggestions where I can find mid v5 for sale at a good price? I’ve seen them on auction sites -gunbroker, guns of America… I am looking for a gun shop or distributor.
Thanks all.

You can try one of the site sponsors up above in those little banners.
Virginia Arms had one last week but my co-worker wants a v3.

Try Rainier Arms. http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=2150
Autrey’s Armory in Fayetteville, GA ordered me one.
I’d bet forum sponsor G&R Tactical (http://www.grtactical.com) can get you one as well. Grant is good folks.
http://www.rainierarms.com/ is good place.

Also ANY GUNSHOP with an http://www.rsrgroup.com/ account (which is most of them).
Here’s a V5 on gunbroker. Not a smoking deal since it doesn’t come with sights, but not too bad either.

Aimsurplus has a couple of them
Not sure where you are located but last week, Bullseye Range in Lawrenceville, GA received 3 last week. As of Friday they had 2 remaining. According to DD on Facebook they shipped out a shipment week before last and have a another shipment due at the end of the month… That information worked in my favor…
Good luck finding one sooner rather than later…
Bullseye also has them for a good price. Not as good as 400 Jewelry and Pawn though. The guys at 400 Jewelry and Pawn are good guys. I got my DDM4v5 there.
Is the weight difference between the v5 and the v5 lw worth to consider? I think the difference is 5 ounces.
The Clyde Armory in Athens Ga. I bought a V4 for $1129. Don’t really know if it was the best deal, but it sure is a sweet rifle.
I’d go with Rainier Arms, if you’re LEO/FIRE or MIL they may work a deal with you.
Does Rainier Arms do discounts if you were in but not on active duty now?
I would get the LW version. 5 ounces makes a difference.
Yep.
I seriously considered replacing my 12.5" M4ish profile with 12.5" LW. A lot of the weight on the .mil profile barrels is on the far end. Physics being what it is, that weight has a larger impact than the same weight closer to your body.
When this barrel dies, I’m replacing it with a lightweight.
If you have an IRR card they might be able to do something for you. It doesn’t hurt to try.
I just bought a V1 from Clyde Armory.
Here’s the rifle you’re looking for at $1235.00

Put it in your ‘basket’ and you’ll see the $250 discount applied.
Thanks guys. Can you tell me what is on the v5 LW that makes it lighter than the regular v5?
Lightweight barrel.
