Daniel Defense, American Defense, BOBRO Engineering - nearly identical websites??

Hi all,

I noticed that their sites are nearly identical in look/feel, interaction, structure and icons - so I wonder is there any sort of business relationship between the 3 companies?

Check it out:

JTrusty’s website is of the same mold.

You may notice that Daniel Defense makes one of the best rifles, Bobro makes the absolute best mounts ever designed, and Gear Sector’s slings are quite possibly the best as well.

Coincidence?

Excellent quality has an air about it.

Hmm,

Another one - never heard of Gear Sector. Also Rainier Arms is very similar. Is this a common 2A friendly webdesigner or hosting company selling the same store template to multiple vendors?

It must work, I bought from most of these guys.

If I recall correctly, all the sites mentioned use JTrusty’s e commerece template. Let me track down the thread on TOS where he answered the question.

“Besides running Gear Sector, I am also a web application developer. The aforementioned sites all look similar because they are all using my e-commerce package and front end layout. This is not something that is freely available for download nor open source. Its an in house, custom rolled software package. Hope that helps clarify things.”

Thanks that was fast!

You ever look at Bravo Company and Operation Parts?

Tinfoil/Conspiracy time

They are all owned by the same person and that is…

Me!

Looks like Jason @ GearSector either designed or modified an original template and they’re all using it. Very observant!

I was trying to buy an alligator (true story, but rethought things) and literally 50 plus sites all over the country, had the same format. They all shipped from different locations, etc. I think that a programmer will just get popular in an industry and do some work for a few companies.

Either that or Grant just quit faking his “gimp limp” right now, and stepped into a limo.
