Damn I got the .357 sig itch again

I get the bug part, Happens to me. I would suggest a Glock 22 or 23 and get conversion barrels in 9mm and 357. They run from $40-$125 for the barrel. I just picked up another barrel for my G22 a few weeks ago. Was on sale for 38 shipped. If you go sig, barrels can around $500 for both 357 and 9mm barrels.

I currently have a Glock 35 with a conversion barrel. But I am not a Glock fan boy, they are good guns for sure. But they got no soul, in my book. I also have a Glock 32, no soul.

If I get a new .357 sig it must be a gun, that has soul. If the Hi Power had a 14 round mag that would work with .357 sig it would be a done deal. But a 10 round mag, doesn’t fit my itch.

I know it is dumb, weird, strange, but no worse than Firefly’s obsession with some of the 1990’s young actresses that he has.

Gotcha, nothing wrong with getting new guns.

Not so long ago I couldn’t give anyone 357SIG. Must make phone calls today.

If you want a fast super 9 that has soul why not get a 1911 in 38Super?

I’ve had a bug from time to time to build or buy a 357Sig carbine or “pistol”.

This will cure your .357 Sig-itis and you don’t even need a new gun nor barrel

Damn, scary I have been looking at this stuff.

For what it is worth the ammo you posted is in my guns now.

I actually have the ammo posted and actively hog with it (Hornady CD 135 is my “killing ammo”).

I, at one point, had a Glock 31 but the underwood ammo does same exact same thing. With about exact POI.

You want the cavitation. Like I would almost say use a real 357 mag because .357 Sig simply doesn’t match it.

I think it’s the gee wow that a dude shot a guy in church with it but 9mm is more versatile.

You can’t give me a 357 sig or a 40 anymore.

I do like 10mm because it can get some cocky velocities

I feel bad for you Firefly, I heard those pigs can do some serious damage to crops and people. I Hope maine never get them. tho i know its only a matter of time before they are here.

How hard are they to kill?

Just like that Firefly has stopped the itch.

I had wanted to go hog hunting to compare the .357 sig with some of the 9mm Underwood. But he has been there done that.

Firefly have you ever tried the Underwood Leigh Defense rounds in 9mm?

Minor thread drift but not hard. They mostly come out at night. Mostly.

300 Blk, suppressors, and NODS make it easy

Not that particular round, no.

I will tell you I used to talk with Jim Cirillo and he said the only weapon they had that 100% of the time game 1 shot stops when he was in the NYPD stakeout squad was the 30 carbine soft point loads at 1800 fps.

Weapons they carried was all manor of handguns, 12 ga shotguns, Thompson, M1 carbine and AR 15.

So that 1800fps has always stuck with me.

Those Underwood 65 grain +p+ reach that mark.

Sig .357 was a solution in search of a problem. But he was clear it’s a cool factor gun vs practical per se. I recall the only orgs who kept the .357 Sig was troopers as it has superior intermediate barrier performance, but I don’t know where that is currently.

Just remember though that it was as a time where ammo design and performance characteristics were very different. .357 had a reputation for being a man stopper back in the day because ammo was much more velocity dependent to do it’s work to modern ammo.

For myself, the rnd I some times get an itch for in terms of cool factor is 10mm

firefly, gotcha. that’s good tho. Didn’t mean to drift off there.

I know that since the FBI got into the ammo rating game, things have changed in a big way.

All handgun ammo performs much better than it did in the past and all ammo performs in jello within about 10% of each other regardless of caliber, velocity and bullet weight.

Sometimes I just get the bug for something “cool”. Then Firefly comes in and slaps me with reality.

I got a few custom Hi Powers, and a few HK P7s, that should be cool enough to carry the day.

Ah I love my Tactical Staple guns, people def stare when they make a range day appearance.

10MM is the truth though. I like my Delta Elite and G20
