Anyone know approximately how long it’s taking to get an individual (not corp or trust) form 1 through ATF currently?
I think I heard 2-4 months on the other site, but can’t check it now.
Thanks,
Sean

I think the avg for both Form 1’s and Form 4’s is about 30 days + or - 5 days.
my last 2 form 4’s were both very close to 30 days mailbox to mailbox.
Quick question for those that just filed the papers. Do you need to get fingerprint cards specific to the ATF or do you just use the standard blue application cards? Also, is it just two cards or do you need more?
Thanks
although trust, it was my first Form 1. About 7 weeks…i expect the next ones to be quicker
The cards need to be the blue ones, but they have to have a certain number in the bottom left hand corner on the back…like FB25 or something. Does anyone remember for sure?
Thanks for the replies,
Sean
I had to wait over eight months for mine a little under two years ago.
Oh man…don’t say that Dinger!
I am hoping to be able to at least shoot this thing by Christmas.

The cards are FD 258 blue FBI cards. I called the NFA today and mine is pending. Its been in house for a little over 30 days.
I only sent one citizenship form, I wonder if I should have sent two.
My shooting buddy filed as a corporation and got it back in 41 days (door-to-door). That included time for an error letter that he had to correct (forgot to include his articles of organization).

My two SBRs…1 individual and 1 Trust took 4 and 5 weeks, I have 4 suppressors under my Trust and the quickest was 3.5 weeks… I have a 3rd SBR and AOW pending (Trust) right now.
My buddy got back two form ones yesterday. He sent them mid August, looks like the NFA branch is really moving.
I know it doesn’t answer your question, but I’m waiting for an SBR on a trust right now myself. I sent in my paperwork on the 24th of this month so we’ll see how long it takes me.
My paperwork went in on the 17th of Aug and was actually at WV ATF on the 21st. I would be one happy camper if it was ready in a month!

I had a Form 4 approved in 16 days, with a trust.
Things are much quicker since the move to WV. I got two back this summer in under 5 weeks.
7/17 To 8/24 Mailbox To Mailbox For My Form 1 Individual Transfer Last Month. Dawn Henson Was Overseeing The Transfer And Now Has My Form 4. I’ve Heard Great Things So Far About Her, But Was Wondering If Anyone Has Any Experience With Transfers That Were Very Close To Each Other With The Same Grader? Does This Speed The Process Up At All That My Form 1 Was Approved 2 1/2 Weeks Before They Cashed My Check For My Form 4 (common Sense Would Dictate That It Would Be Much Faster, But It Is A Bureaucracy)?
My latest SBR was 31days. Form1 on a Trust.
I just got mine back today, September 13. It was individual Form 1 to SBR a PS-90. Mailed August 12, received at Martinsburg, W. Virginia on August 14. Dawn Henson was my examiner.
I got the fingerprint cards (and a stack of other NFA forms) from ATFE itself, just ordered it from them on their website.
Next on the list is a Colt 6933.
WOW!
My Form 4 for a Colt 6933 on a trust came back already! I sent it in on 8/24/06 regular post with a personal check! That’s 25 calender days, or 16 working days, post to post! Figure in mail time both ways and it has to be something like a 2 working week turnaround!
I’m picking it up tomorrow at 4 and you can bet your bippy there’ll be pics!
Filed my Form 1 as a corporation on 17 August, received by BATFE 21 August, approved 21 September, and back in my mailbox on the 25th of September. Time to send off another…
