The MO of allot of these perps is to order from a known retailer (Cabelas’, Optics Planet, etc) the same scope and then file a return with the elcheapo fake Chinese POS, as well as using EBay and other online sites.

I would imagine the same is happening with other well known quality optic brands as well.

BTW, Leupold has an 800 number to call and they will confirm via S/N (they track their serial numbers) if it is stolen or not.
