Commission says Christian business owners should leave religion at home

The Human Rights Commission in Lexington, Kentucky has a chilling message for Christian business owners who refuse service to LGBT organizations: leave your religion at home.

“It would be safe to do so, yes,” Executive Director Raymond Sexton told me. “Or in this case you can find yourself two years down the road and you’re still involved in a legal battle because you did not do so.”

I do not believe for one minute that a majority of America has suddenly decided that homosexuals are the best thing since toilet paper, that they are somehow a magically exalted, very special group by whom their mere existence require the neutralizing of your right to refuse service to them, or apparently anyone, based upon your very reasonable religious beliefs…

Take just a moment and let that sink in – a Christian business owner is being ordered to attend diversity training – because of his religious beliefs. That’s a pretty frightening concept and a mighty dangerous precedent.

When you look closely at the so-called social advance of homosexuality in America over the past decade, you will discover a very troubling trend, homosexuals losing one state level public voting initiative after another, only to be immediately followed up by an activist jurist stepping in and neutralizing the will of “We The People!” Consider, they knew or at least they should have known, that they were going to lose same sex marriage initiatives in every state prior to any vote taking place, including in the biggest loss of all, California! Yet, these votes were allowed to proceed anyway, in which we can now just assume, results were never intended to be allowed to stand if the vote was unfavorable to the advancement to the agenda! Translation, these widely opposed “gay agenda” initiatives were really nothing more then laboratory like fishing expeditions, intended to gauge the true level of public opposition to such a deviant minority desire. Understand, your vote was, and remains meaningless, they were going to ram it down your throat regardless…

That is what we call totalitarianism, that is textbook Marxist social engineering…

So if Christian business owners should leave their “religion” at home, why shouldn’t homosexuals leave their “agenda” at home.

Essentially the bottom line is this is a “belief system” vs. a “belief system” and one should not take precedence over the other. They should, all things and people “being equal” cancel each other out. But for the last half century we have had a system of “favoritism” and “preferred citizens” so the obvious contradictions should be expected I guess.

Its a belief system vs a state sponsored belief system, and it is likely one of the most overtly massive social engineering schemes in human history, it reeks of conspiracy…I have nothing against homosexuality, I really don’t concern myself with what others may wish to do in the privacy of their own bedroom, but this isn’t the privacy of one’s own bedroom, is it now! Its deeply manipulative and sinister…

If you want to qualify, it’s a “religious belief system” vs. a “social belief system”, but at the bottom line it is a “belief system” vs. a “belief system” and one should never take priority or precedence over the other. But that would require actual “equality” which is something that has never actually existed in this country so far.

Yet halal and kosher markets/stores are still allowed to deny me my rights to pornography, pork, and liquor.

Just using gays to subvert traditional values and what many people see as American.

Its just what has occurred, I’m comfortable with either your interpretation or mine. The state through its judicial princes, completely usurped the democratic process and is proceeding merrily along to its next round of totalitarian edicts…

There is a halal place not all that far from where I live, actually called haji. I think I should start going in on a regular basis and asking where the bacon and whiskey is, or where the bacon flavored whiskey is.

that’s blasphemy…I too need porn and liquor…its more romantic that way

The difference between people like me and people like that: If I go into a business and the owner says “Get your Bible thumping, Jesus freak ass out of my shop!” I write this shop off as one that won’t get my business, I will very actively encourage people to stay away from it, and I will go elsewhere.

But if that shop owner came into my business and I said, “Get your worthless liberal ass out of my shop!” He’d have an army of lawyers there the next day demanding that I pay thousands for the emotional damage that I caused him by being mean, thousands to the people who overheard me yell at him and have PTSD as a result, free merchandise for life as part of the settlement, a court order that I attend hundreds of hours of sensitivity and diversity training, and have an injunction put on me that does not allow me to refuse service to anyone for any reason for the rest of my life.

Support of gays in this manner is what I’ve talked about before with the intentional undermining of traditional western values, and replacing them with ideology that erodes the foundation of a nation.

Then the traditional types, which are the foundation of the country, basically have no place to go. Didn’t start a thread on it but the city of Houston is trying to summon transcripts of sermons from area churches, and people who don’t fit into the liberal mold are finding themselves relegated to some suburban areas, and mostly rural areas outside the jurisdiction of pretty much any big city.

People who won’t toe the line to liberalism are finding less and less places to live without fear of retribution or being forced into re-education camps AKA diversity training. If I were this business owner I would pull up shop and move. This one guy/business isn’t going to win against this ‘commission’ AKA people’s court anytime soon. The courts are too busy eroding our other rights to give a **** about people being forced into camps because their beliefs didn’t jive with the liberal group think.

You all don’t know a damn thing about re-education programs. I was in a diversity training session where the group had to sing “We Shall Overcome”. In another one the speaker said that there was an inverse relationship between melanin and intelligence. Yet another one gave a list of words to avoid. I remember that burly and articulate were adjectives to avoid, and that barbecue and fried chicken must not be said in conjunction with the word water melon. You should not describe a black person as articulate unless it might be thought that blacks were not articulate except for this most unusual one in question. I got a big laugh when I was in such a meeting and a black colleague was taking a snooze. The principal came in and woke the guy up to promote him.

This exactly. Unfortunately lately, some animals have apparently become more equal than others.

That’s racist…unless you do it while being gay that is.

I’m pretty sure we need some shirts made. About 10 million should do…

I’d have never made it. My only salvation would be to inform them I was “black” and that everyone in the room was being RACIST towards me and that I wasn’t going to put up with it any longer.

Thank god my great, great whatever was black…and Native American…and Eskimo…and a bunch of other stuff.

Seriously diversity training programs are some of the most blatantly racists things I’ve ever seen. If you simply swap the race variables you quickly end up with a KKK rally. That they are mandated by employers and often government sponsored just shows the extent of the incredibly offensive level of racism that is accepted as “normal.”

How about this gem… and folks think Texas will last another ten years before falling to the Dems.

The city of Houston has issued subpoenas demanding a group of pastors turn over any sermons dealing with homosexuality, gender identity or Annise Parker, the city’s first openly lesbian mayor. And those ministers who fail to comply could be held in contempt of court.

And there goes free speech, freedom of religion, etc.

And to think, not one riot in protest… Nothing. Not even a homeless guy with a sign.

We don’t deserve what liberty we use to have.

Remarkably, I’ve never been able to so much as pinch a loaf of ‘care,’ about what a, “Human Rights Commission,” thinks about ANYTHING… :dirol:
