Colt SP1 pics and questions

Today I picked up a rifle that was billed as a Colt SP1 upper on a PSA lower. My plan is to outfit one of my 6920 lowers with A1 furniture.

There a couple things I found odd about this upper and some markings I dont know. First is I could not find any markings on the barrel. Even under the handguard. The chamber and bore appear to be chrome lined from what I can see with my flashlight. The upper also looks painted black. The front pivot pin looks normal size. What do you guys think?

I posted this in a few places. Consensus seems to be that it’s a M16A! parts kit build, probably from Malaysia.

Yep, certainly no SP1 as there weren’t any produced with the Forward Assist. Hopefully you didn’t get hosed too badly.
