Colt Python 8" Blued

Hey everyone,

I’ve been doing some research lately on some duty handgun, and I keep coming back to the Colt python in 357 magnum and blued keeps on catching my attention. I’m seriously considering picking one up.

Will really appreciate some insights from previous/current owners such as how does it perform, is is smooth and reliable as advertised and what are some downsides I should know before spending a couple on it.

I have been an admirer, but never owned a python personally. I have fired a few owned by friends. I have found them to be quite manageable and easy to control. Can’t really speak to reliability other than to say I’ve never heard of issues with them.

Hopefully bumping this back up will help get you some more informative replies.

I’ve never heard of an 8” duty gun. The Grammatical “nuances” in the original post leave me a little suspicious too. :thinking:
