Colt 6933 - KAC RIS or RAS?

Which of these two rail systems (RIS or RAS) would be compatible with a Colt 6933? I’ve always been confused on the differences between the two. Looks like KAC might only be making the RAS now, but I still see RIS’s for sale.

Thanks,
Jason

Either one will work but Id personally go with the RAS. It has a little bit more secure clamping method. the RIS clamps to the front, and the RAS clamps to the barrel nut.

Both fit as mentioned above but go with the RAS. Have one on mine and it is rock solid.

Thanks guys. That’s the way I was leaning, but I wasn’t 100% sure the RAS would fit the 6933’s barrel contour.

This is just personal opinion, but on a carbin length gas system, you would be hard pressed to find a better option that the RAS. Im including all the FF rails too. Now if you decide on not using a standard front sight, the extra rail length of a FF is nice, but with it, the RAS is top-notch. Just my opinion.

DD AR15 Lite Rail 12.0 FSP allows use of standard FSB with real estate in front.

The 12.0 rail doesnt play well with the 11.5 barrel on a 6933 though? Your muzzle device would be completely covered. The 9.5FSP is what I am using on my 6933.

I’m not interested in any non-drop in rails and I’m not interested in any DD rails. Thanks anyway. Question asked and answered.

LOK & RAM- Brain fart. Wasn’t thinking right. I have the 12.0 FSP for the 6920 and the 9.5 FSP for the 6933. I was mainly answering another poster about retaining the FSP and having real estate in front of it.
