Against those who are exempt from anti 2A laws.
They do make an exception for agencies who will make written and public statements that they won’t execute the anti 2A laws against those the laws target, fwiw.

There should not be exemptions for LEOs. Period. They are civilians just like the rest of us who aren’t military (my definition being that if you aren’t military, you are a civilian). They should be subject to the same enforcement and obedience to laws that we are. Start making exceptions, especially for the enforcers themselves, and whatever moral argument you may concoct in support of the law itself is shredded.

I am saddened that this is what it is having to come to. I am loathe to limit the resources of le. But this needs to be done to highlight the inequity of many gun laws.
Let’s just look at the definition of “first responder” for a second. In the event of a violent crime the victim is the first responder. Some fight back. Most “respond” by being assaulted, robbed, raped, shot, or murdered. The second tier of first responders then arrive, usually mopping up and taking notes. Occasionally getting into actual action with the perpetrator(s). I want BOTH tiers of first responders to have the tools they need to defend themselves.
The disparity between victim and le is unacceptable.

Barrett and LaRue did this years ago. Sadly the ones who actually sell the most to LE agencies like Glock, S&W or SIG won’t ever do the same.
Hell, even Marty Daniels turned out to be a bootlicker.
This kind of energy is rare in the firearms industry but wonderful to see.
