Cheap way to make your own designs for painting stocks?

I’m looking to just krylon a collapsible stock and standard plastic forearm. It’s for a girl who wants it pink. I thought it might be cool before I paint them to find something cheap that can stick to the plastic that I can cut into designs so they can be painted over with a couple different other colors. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Even thought you’re not painting the entire rifle, the process outlined in this thread would probably work fine for you.

Is there a way to get there without having to sign up for the forum?

Thanks.

Don’t think so. It is a good place. Check it out.

There is something called frisket<sp> at art supply/craft stores. It comes in sheets. It’s used on smooth surfaces like canvas or metal but might work.

It’s clear/frosted plastic that you can carve/cut any design into to mask off already painted areas.
