Hello, I am new to the site and hope I am asking in the right area.
I am looking to get a new latch on my charging handle. I have a RRA lar15 and looking to replace the stock latch with a more tactical latch. Back in the ol’ USMC days we had ours switched out while in country but I never knew what brand it was. Anyone have any suggestions on brand, price range, etc?
While I’m on here, I am also looking to put a bipod on. I am looking for something in the 9-15 inch range. It will be for coyote hunting and I am not sure who has had luck with what. Any websites that are better for these type of purchases?
Check this web site if you didn’t find your answer here. I coyote hunt exclusively with my M4 but I use shooting sticks rather than attached bi-pod set up. Much cheaper and works great

I would recommend the list from the bottom up. If cost in a concern, I would prefer the PRI over the badger given my preference for the lobster claw vice the palm method of manipulating the CH.
the badger latch is it, or at least what it looks like. since i will be implementing a scope, i believe that this would be a good option. plus, i am familiar with it. where would one get the 1/16 tool to get that darn little pin out of the CH? thanks guys
Harbor Freight will sell you a set of punches for $5 or so…
As for the bipod, there are many options, but it sounds like you’re looking for a 9-13" Harris. For well under $100 you can install a sling swivel stud on your lower handguard and then install a Harris whenever you want it.
I will look into my local hardware store. As for the bipod, I went with a UTG? Bought it off ebay for $15 and it holds a bead just fine. Will do some fine tuning today when I top off the feeders. So far I am really pleased with the bipod.
