I searched and couldnt find much I want to put a Vltor Emodstock on my Smith M&P and have been told its a milspec tube. Is there a way to remove the collapsible stock from the tube without removing the entire tube off the rifle?

Sure, most of them all remove the same…just pull down on the lever that you adjust it with and pull it off the butt stock tube. Pull down hard on it…it won’t break

Pull down very hard on the latch (beyond its normal range of movement) and pull rearward, this is how all collapsible stock bodies are removed.
I have not bought mine yet, but I plan to do the same mod.
Is the tube on the M&P15 milspec and all we need to do, is replace the std stock with the VLTOR EMod?

Yes the S&W tube is Milspec. It should be just as easy to install I would guess but until I get it I have no idea. I got mine from Eguns today, speak to chad hes excellent to deal with and there service is top notch!
