What’s the fit like on these compared to Mechanix, SKD PIGs, etc? Any noteworthy difference?

A number of years ago, Camelbak bought the line of SWMS (South West Motor Sports) gloves. I don’t have any of the Camelbak gloves but the SWMS gloves were pretty heavy duty - definitely more so than the USGI issue flyer’s glove. Fit was true to size for me. Not as thin/skin tight as Mechanix/PIGs though.

Thanks for the heads-up. I’ve been very happy with Mechanix gloves, but I’ll take a shot at a pair of these considering the savings.

If you want FR properties and real leather gloves in ‘tactical’ colours vs. non-FR and synthetic suede for the same price right now. A good example is this past weekend when I was comparing three muzzle devices back-to-back (seeing which one kept the muzzle most stable). I had a lock nut so I could time them easily, and install/remove them quickly. To compare them, I kept swapping them out and shooting them on the same rifle. The barrel, lock nut and devices were all really hot. Having real leather gloves allowed me to swap them out without getting burned or damage to the glove. I once tried doing the same thing with synthetic suede fingered gloves, and the finger tips melted.

Another “thanks” for the heads up. I started using Southwest Motor Sports gloves back in 2006 based on your review.

I’ve been using them (and the newer Camelbak versions) ever since for work and play.

Anybody know how the sizing for these matches up to the sizing of Mechanix gloves?

Seem pretty similar to me. I wear the same size in both the Mechanix and Camelbak gloves.
