Looking to get into 308 AR’ss , my only requirements for a lower is to accept all Magpul accessories. I was thinking of going with the ORC, sell the upper and replace with a noveske bbl and maybe a billet upper. The alternative is to cut the bayo lug and sling swivel and add a ff rail.
I put an ad up to trade my semi BAR 1:1 for a SR25 or LMT MWS w/ SS bbl. No hits yet. My only other AR10 choices to buy outright would be the LMT MWS w/ non SS bbl.
Thoughts?
Armalite owns “AR10” as a trademark. If you want an AR10, you’ll have to get an Armalite.
Noveske states their 308 barrel is made to fit only Armalite AR10 and Noveske N6 uppers. I’m not sure what the difference is between AR10/N6 barrels and barrels for other 308 ARs such as KAC/DPMS but I believe it has to do with the barrel extension & bolt.
If your BAR is the semi-auto version of the M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle, you might have better luck selling on Gunbroker or on http://www.sturmgewehr.com/ or other similar website

There are different patterns of 308 AR’s. The Armalite and the DPMS patterns. The MWS and the SR25 are DPMS patterns, but the Armalite and Noveskes are Amalite patterns.
So, technically the MWS and SR-25 are not really AR10 clones as there is something different about the bolt and the barrel extension
DPMS pattern is more popular right now cause of the use of cheaper magazine ala pmags since they’re $18 and armalite pattern mags are like $35
The MA-10 receiver can accept either barrel type but requires the matching pattern bolt. So its sort of the best option cause you can get a Noveske barrel using pmags, which you cant do buying straight from Noveske.

Military Semi BAR. Want to trade one for one, either a KAC 25EMC or LMT MWS w/ SS barrel. I don’t believe in selling guns, only trading up or down.
Who makes the MA-10, I’m thinking Mega.
Basically, I just want to be able to use Pmags, that’s the only thing I care about. If I can put a DD 12.0 on the ORC, then that will suffice until I get into the LMT MWS market.
