Bushmaster Carbon 15 review / looking for input

Picked it up for $649.99 at Sportsmen’s Warehouse locally, brand new with the Bushnell Red Dot, which now resides on my Ruger 10/22.
I put my ol’ trusty Aimpoint on it with some seasoned Magpul Magazines; zeroed and shot 420 rounds of Federal Green tip ammo with no issues.

After trolling around here a bit, I learned a few things to replace or investigate. Here’s what I’ve got;

I guess there’s some shotty staking work on the BCG. Here’s a picture of mine. From what I gathered, it pretty decent and I don’t need to do anything more. It looks like there is plenty of metal mushying going on to avoid anything getting loose. What do you guys think?

But there is no staking on the CastleNut. That’s ok though, I plan on replacing that rear plate for a single point sling mount. After that I’ll stake it.

The only thing I’ve noticed so far that I don’t like, is the cammo paint. Not a fan of it, but I justified the low cost to tolerate it. However, that cammo paint is already chipping around some of the business areas;
Chipping where the Charge Handle clips in to be secure.

Chipping where the Dust Cover rests while open.

Oh, and my buffer tube is the R6001 Carbine Type. I guess I’m going to hold off on replacing the Tube and BCG until things start not working properly. Unitl then I’m having a blast with it so far.

I’m trying to figure out if the lunar cycle is directly related to a bunch of random posts about Bushampster Carbon-15 Arbortions…
