Found some unmarked H and H2 buffers and there’s no manufacturer information. They’re marked “H” and “H2”. Is a buffer just a buffer? Or should I look specifically for quality manufacturers?
Also, what is an average price for buffers, current event pricing excluded? I haven’t bought any for about a year now since my last build.

i think the last h buffer i bought was around $15. a lot of buffers in various guns don’t come with markings other than the h on the face. some, like spikes (at least what i’ve seen) can’t be mistaken for anything else though. is it a standard looking buffer with weights?
There is a difference. I would just buy some from BCM since they are in stock.
I just bought a Stag H2 Buffer for $29.95. Very happy with the weight, and no difference than the Colt I bought six months ago.
correction on this. it would have been $22 (lmt) but dsg offered a significant discount.
as iraqgunz mentioned, bcm has them in stock, and at decent pricing.

H2’s for 16" mid-lengths?
I would start with an H, H2 might have issues. There are a lot of variables and IMO it’s best to try a few and see what will work the best for you.
Running two mid-lengths with the heavier M16 BCG along with H3 buffers and both run like a striped ape and recoil is amazingly soft.
Are the buffers from rainier arms as good as BCM’s.
What upper do you have? Should be GTG. Great actually.
