Looking for any experience with using Brooks Agrip for AR pistol grip. I am considering beginning with a standard 5x8" sheet of the Agrip material and likely apply over a plain-jane Magpul MOE grip. Intent is to create a just-right AR grip - not too slick, not too sticky - for improved control. Anyone done this before?
Presently have Hogue rubber grips on ARs and two types of Magpul MOE grips - one standard and one Plus rubberized model. While adequate, they just aren’t the ideal, slightly tacky grip I want for a pistol application. I also tried the Magpul K Plus, but it wasn’t what I was looking for either…
I had a Kahr PM9 with Agrip for most of 10 years. The Agrip took a slippery devil and made it much more useable for me. The Agrips reduced any shifting during recoil, such as with +P, and with gloves on. If seemed just right… And the thought of putting this onto an AR grip is very enticing, but looking for any tips or tricks from folks who have done this.
