Bianchi Accumold Elite question

Fellas and ladies,
For the past 6 months or so I have a worsening sciatic problem with pain shooting from my left hip past the knee, it is getting to the point where I cannot hide it any more. When the duty belt comes off the pain starts to go away and after a week or so is gone. I wear Safariland all leather basket weave gear, 2 reloads, 5949, ASP baton, radio, two cuffs, OC spray, SF G2 LED in a SF open top holder. Suspenders don’t help. I was thinking of going to the accumold series as is is supposed to be 50% lighter, does anyone have any advice on this series or gear or any other light weight option. I has to be basket weave unfortunately.
TIA,
Ray

I recently ordered one of the padded duty belts to try out. It wasn’t much better. Actually it was worse because of how my pouches had to fit on it. Not sure if that helps.

Josh, that is good to know regarding the padded belt. Of course the whole issue would go away once we switch to nylon and Glock…

Sparrow-

I carried accumold elite in the basketweave, it was a lot lighter than leather and didn’t hurt my back like my other rig did.

I carried a heavy load on mine and my back would be killing me at the end of the shift.

I carried, OC MK4, Taser, dbl mag pouch, 2 sets of cuffs, radio, mini mag light,ASP, Sig 226.

The Bianchi gear looks good and holds up well, I wore mine for almost 3 years before I left the job.

The accumold elite weighs the same as nylon. It is not as durable as leather or safariland; my duty blets last about a year before they crack at the seam in the back. The suspendeers help when you are waling a foot post all day. I find it is lighter than leather and worth the $50 per year to replace the main duty belt.

That’s some good news guys, thanks for the feedback. The taser(we still have M26) is worn on the support side cross draw and that’s exactly where the pain starts. I don’t mind paying a bit extra for the main belt if it keeps me off the Agency Doctor’s goofy loop radar…
