A person can always use SiteGlo or a similar product to paint the front sight, if that is what is desired.
10-8 Performance is my personal favorite really like the FO on my 17’s, but have Pro I-Dots on my carry guns.
Sights are such a personal choice that I feel it is hard to determine what is the “best” aftermarket sight. Depending on what your end goal is for the sights, I would say all the prior mentioned options are great. I have run 10-8s, heines, trijicon hds, warren tactical, and ameriglos. For me I wanted POA/POI at the tip of the front sight at 25 yards and for that reason I needed a sight that had the same dimensions as the stock sights. I chose Ameriglos for this reason. Ameriglo has many options as far as brightly colored front sights, tritium, and black on black. After trying almost every sight ste I could get my hands on I landed on Ameriglo Defoors. They offer a very crisp sight picture, that is easily tracked through rapid shot cadences, and offers me the accuracy at 25 yards and beyond that I wanted. The best benefit of Ameriglos is the price point. Many of the other mentioned sights will run you around $120-$160, while the Ameriglos generally come in around under $100.
Trijicon HDs are my preference, they work well with the Osprey too, easy to shoot both eyes open and quick.
Best is subjective and in the eye of the end user.
My go-to aftermarket sights are Mepro Light Sights. I also really like Heinie Ledge sights as a second choice.
I have tried so many aftermarket sights on my handguns and my two favorites when talking about combat sights are the Ameriglo I DOT pro with the orange front paint and green tritium the rear has a tritium circle in the middle of the sight ( make an 8) or the Redback one combat sights. I currently have the RB1’s on my G19. A friend introduced me to them and typically I am not a blacked out rear sight person but taking their advice and reading reviews I ordered up back when they were available. After a few range trips I understood why they are so popular. IMO best combat sights I have tried thus far. The sight pictured is very easy to pick up and for combat sights I am very pleased. Their site has said that they are being manufactured by new company but it has said this for quite a while
I have these on three Gen2 G19s. My eyes are getting old, they work great in the dark, indoors, or bright sun
True - but there are other brands of sights that are just like Heine’s functionally, but with that white around the tritium on the front
I prefer the Ameriglo TCAP’s, currently on 5 of my Glock’s and they will be going on the next couple as well.

I loved the way HD’s would allow for quick sight pictures with the big bright front sight but eventually grew to hate the sloping rear site digging into my side and eating up my outer garments.
I have Glock night sights on my EDC G26. I have Sevigny Competition(narrow square notch in rear) plain Black rear with FO front on my 17, Warren Carry (wider contoured notch in rear) sights,Plain Black rear with FO front on my Gen 2 19. Different sights for different jobs I guess. Dave Dawson taught me how to install them all.

I’ve run Tru Glo for years. Never ever had an issue even when my G19 took a ride down the road at about 90mph. Yeah, dont ask!
I’ve had Heinie Straight Eight night sights on my 19 Gen 4 for almost four years now. I got the “slant-pro” version which has smoothed edges on the rear sight. I vastly prefer the vertical line-up over three dot, but everybody has their preferences.
I’ve tried I-dot, or 2-dot pattern sights before. I could never get used to it. Sure, horizontal alignment was fast, but vertical alignment was always an issue for me. I much prefer having a traditional 3 dot setup, with the rear sights being a different color form the fronts.
Anyone like the Ameriglow Hacks?
I run the Ameriglo Hackathorn front with a 10-8 rear on my G 17 and like the combination a lot.
