Bears and 10mm

So I’m watching a bear vids for what ever reason, and this came up. Never hunted a bear, and there’s nothing about this that does not scream avoid that guy for a hunting guide. Chose Kimber because it’s reliable, mentioned “stopping power” and went tracking an injured bear with pistols and shot it 30+ times to finally kill it. WTF?

That’s pretty disgusting

And they’re both very proud of themselves.

My Aunt used to have to stick an 03A3 out the kitchen window to shoot the Grizzley’s getting in to her Garden and Laundry and before they got too close to the Kids.

Don’t get all Macho with me about shooting Bears.

Did those 2 retire out a fish and wildlife or park agency?

I recall reading about a duet killing a grizzly in Alaska by shooting it repeatedly with a .40 pistol while the other stood guard with a 12 gauge. :face_with_spiral_eyes:

It may have been the Treadwell bear, but not currently finding many details on how they killed it.

I don’t hunt bears. When hiking in Blue Ridge, I do carry an FN-10 with a spare 24rd mag, it will work for two & four legged predators.
