I have 2 on both my 16" and 11.5", not the prettiest stock but it’s the definition of function over form. I’d love to see what the Mod 1 will look like.

Run one on my Carbine and it is the most rock solid stock I have used. I ditched my B5 sopmod because it had some excessive play and just didn’t stack up. I like how using your firing pin will enable you to remove it or install it…another well thought out feature from BCM.
Finally bought one of these to try. The most wobble-free stock I’ve had… not too terribly important no, but its best features are its snag-free design, ruggedness… and, light weight.
ARs are supposed to be light-weight weapons. There is no point to making one heavier than need be, unless it is a Precision rifle, in which case any extra weight should go to the barrel.
I will keep B5 Bravos on my precision builds until the Theoretical Mod1 with cheek rests is released.
I just got one and installed it yesterday. Unlike my KMR, I’m not blown away by it. On my Colt receiver extension its only a little more locked up than my B5 Bravo was and I would say its maybe slightly more wobbly than the Magpul STR that I have on a VLTOR A5 extension. I’ll have to shoot with it, but I think I like the straight B5 butt pad a little better than the slightly angled one on the BCM stock. On the other hand, the weight is very nice, especially if its as strong as it seems to be. Maybe I’m crazy, but with the B5 stock, the KMR and a pencil barrel the rifle felt a little back heavy when loaded. With the BCM stock it feels almost perfectly balanced to me. For that reason I’ll probably keep it, but I’m not totally decided yet.
I bought the complete stock set with buffer tube, so I haven’t tried it on other brands yet. On the BCM tube it is super-snug.
To me a few ounces for balance is worth it. Especially if you do a lot of up and down from prone and high port.
LW barreled, V7 titanium barrel nut, pinned 14.5 with LW rail…that is one.
Running mine on my Pencil Barreled Colt. I had planned to leave the original M4 stock on but this added so little weight and is a lot nicer. Great stock, nice cheek weld and it locks up tight as hell.

I bought a BCM Blem lower from G&R. It was $15 to add the stock so I did. It’s ok. I Like it more on my 15-22. I like the CTR & MOE stocks because of the sling attachment options. If this had the slot at the bottom for a sling I’d like it. It is very tight OpIn the RE. Too tight for some. It does not adjust easily. i really dislike needing a tool to install and remove the stock.

This is the biggest negative IMO…bugs me, even more than the ACS style of stock change. On the other hand, if you carry a spare firing pin, then it is easy enough to change the BCM stock.
Well technically a firing pin isn’t a tool because it’s part of your weapon system, not sure exactly why you would ever need to remove your stock…what’s more, 99% of anything on your rifle requires a tool to remove minus some of the new switch rails from Fortis/Rainier Arms and QD mounted optics.
What is the Mod 1 mentioned in the thread? Is BCM planning on revising or enhancing the stock in some way? Thanks ya’ll

Not sure, probably something with a storage compartment, revamped QD points/cheek weld etc. BCM does mod upgrades with everything.
Nice stock, but too stiff for me and mot enough cheek weld. I prefer the B5 bravo but it is definately a strong stock.
