why are BS threads like this allowed to stay open but discussion on a technical subject cut off after a few replies?..
midSCarolina:
LMT, BCM, DD… all the same to me. I have not noticed much difference in the operation of any of these three in my own personal experience. Don’t hear about many problems with these three either. One thing about BCM is I have heard (not experienced 1st hand) of some issues with BCM not liking certain .223 ammo. I have not had this problem with my BCM but it may be something to think about. My only issue with LMT is the lack of parkerizing under the FSB but if the FSB is removed, LaRue gas blocks do a good job of covering the exposed steel. I don’t like how DD marks their rifles up like they are some type of race car. I like about everything else about these three.
This is the first I’ve heard about any BCM gun not liking any certain ammo, where did you hear about this? Personally I’ve shot all sorts of shit through my BCM, both 5.56 & .223, and it cycles everything like a champ…mines just a stock 14.5" m4.
Agreed. The answers can be found with a little reading.
OP both rifles will serve you well. My preference is to BCM.
