I have ambi BCMs on both of mine. Played with a raptor a little bit, to be honest I didn’t see much of a difference.

If you determine that a material solution is required prior to purchase…yes, could be, presuming the asker isn’t just looking for an echo-chamber.

My favorite CH is a 100% steel model with a huge latch on it. It makes it extremely easy to do one-handed CH checks. A 100% steel CH mitigates the risk of a aluminium handle that CAN and WILL go down under stressful conditions.
I’ve been trained to tap and rack, no matter what, even if I am “convinced” my gun had gone dry. I use the CH a lot and the large CH latch really comes in handy.
Have a buddy load up your mag with a few dummy rounds with live rounds and have him walk behind you while you shoot, with your eyes closed, having to rely only on your tap, rack to take care of a misfire or malfunction and you’ll be a believer.
