BCM charging handle

Ordered one of these for my Colt. Anyone have any experience with this model? Pros? Cons? Going to see if I like it, is so, will order one for my Bushmaster.

Never tried the dual lever but the gunfighter CH is the only one I will use, even replaced the CH on my SR15 with one. Good choice.

I found a Raptor CH for sale at a good price so I tried it. Very easy now to reach up with my left hand and charge with a quick palm strike. The levers are kinda fat to, so they don’t dig into your chest if you’re training in just a t-shirt.

They are nice but I prefer my Raptors.

Why not use it on your Colt and then determine if it fulfills your requirements for a charging handle, instead of asking for feedback after the purchase.

BCM mod 4 charging handles are the first addition to any new rifle I purchase. High quality, durable, and just flat out work better…

BCM charging handles are a mandatory upgrade on any AR I use.

As far as ambi - charging handles, I’ve always been a Raptor user until I needed a charging handle for a build and nobody had any Raptors in stock. I picked up the BCM Mod 44 (I believe this is the same CH) and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a very robust design with a similar footprint to the Raptor and I’ve been very happy with mine. Am I still a Raptor fan? Yes however, I’m also a Mod 44 fan as well.

I bought one of their blems at a discounted price, when they had them available, to test out. I got the mod 4 I think, which is their medium latch. The feel is great. Perfect length to get a good hold, but not too long that it could really dig into your body when slung over your back, etc.

Only prior experience with other charging handles were factory handles and a extended handle that I got with my upper from AR Performance (I don’t know who makes the charging handle itself). However, I liked the BCM gunfighters enough that I have them on all of my 223 and 308 AR rifles now.

Also, the reason why I didn’t try other charging handles was because they were all too much significantly higher in price than the BCM was. Really hard for me to justify ~$100 for a charging handle, unless I was really using it hard and wanted it for a specific use/purpose.

I have two of them and I think they’re great. I think that little lip on the back also helps redirect blow back out of the charging handle when shooting suppressed too. I base that off of me getting more gas to the face on another gun with a different charging handle. I don’t have any experience with any other ambi charging handles though.

I use one of the BCM ambi charging handles on my work guns and it’s good quality stuff. You won’t go wrong with it.

I had a BCM medium on my Colt LE6920, a month ago I got a AXTS Raptor, its much better IMHO.

I run a BCM with the large latch and it is nice however I wish I would have gone with the medium which is plenty big.
