BCM 18" MK12 SPR Mod 3X-Bravo (DD14)

I have two carbines with 16" barrels and 12" rails and wanted something a little different. I had been thinking about an SPR type upper that was a little “more” than my Recce. So after looking for more than a year I ordered this upper from Bravo Company on Wednesday afternoon and had it Monday morning.

This is a BCM Mk 12 Mod 3X-Bravo (DD14) with BCM auto BCG, BCM sights, standard charging handle, A2 flash hider.

  • Daniel Defense 14" LITE Rail
  • BCM SS410™ 18" Stainless Barrel, Ionbond Black DLC
  • Rifle Length Gas System
  • Pined Gas Block
  • BCM Bolt Carrier Group (HPT/MPI), auto
  • Standard BCM Charging Handle
  • M4 Feed Ramp Barrel Extension
  • M4 Feed Ramp Flat Top Receiver
  • T-Marked Upper Receivers
  • 1/8 Twist Rates
  • 5.56 NATO Chamber
  • 410 Stainless Steel
  • HPT (High Pressure Test) Barrels
  • MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspected) Barrels

I mounted this on my LMT match 2 stage lower, with Magpul UBR stock and MOE grip.

Here is the BCM MK12 SPR currently sporting the Leupold MK4 4.5-14x50mm from my bolt action, until I get a new Leupold MK4 3.5-10x40mm

Very nice!

I need to get me one of the 18" SPRs…those are the ‘bees knees!’.

She’s a beaut!

That’s a great set of weapons. Let us know how it shoots. I am giving a lot of thought to selling off a pair of carbines, and building pretty much what you have there.

I’ll be curious to see what ammo it prefers. Please let us know what you settle on for SPR chow.

Looks great brother, congrats!

Got the new Larue mount so I mounted the 4.5-14, I am heading to the range this afternoon to get a 100M zero.

With the Recce

I feel complete

:mad:I hate you!:stuck_out_tongue: Very nice builds. I am about to bust for one of the MK12s from Bravo.

I think if 2010 was “the year” for the pencil barrel and other lightweight variants, then 2011 will be the year for 18" barrels. You can’t go wrong with a 18" 1/8 twist barrel…especially at $299 from BCM. They’re more versatile than you think. How many 16" midlengths does the average AR owner need?

Cam- Are you taking the Magpul Precision class? Is this the stick you are going to use. Looks really nice!

Nice rig but damn with that sunshade it makes me feel better about putting a 3-12X50 Schmidt and Bender on my Mk12.

Nice collection you have there! I’m trying to do the same thing. My first build has a 16" and I’m building my SPR next. I already have the lower completed. I’m planning on getting the BCM Mk12 Md0.
