A great series, and certainly some interesting men.

I had the opportunity to meet Buck Compton, Bill Guarnere, Babe Heffron, Don Malarkey, Earl McClung, and Shifty Powers when they visited Germany and Belgium in 2004, and actually spent an entire day with them in Bastogne. This marked their first return to the area, and it was a rare privilege to just listen to them recount their memories as we stood there overlooking Foy. As a career Soldier and Paratrooper myself, the significance of their legacy was surely not lost on me.
