Good afternoon all. This is my first post here after spending a few weeks reviewing all the helpful info. Prior to finding this site I intended to purchase a Rock River Arms midlength but I know now I can do better with my money. My question for you concerns the Assualt Weapons Ban and compliance. I live in New York State and need to comply with the ban. I am interested in buying a Sabre Defence midlength and want to know if this is possible to do and stay compliant. Thank you for your help and I apoligize for my ignorance as I am still trying to decide what my options are.
As a NY resident myself, my understanding is;
-
No flash suppressor. Compensators/muzzle brakes are OK, but must not be installed on a threaded barrel. If the barrel is threaded, the comp. must be permanently attached.
-
Fixed buttstocks only.
-
No bayonette lug.
-
Magazine capacity must be no more than 10 rounds. Preban hi-capacity mags are OK.
N.Y. 45ACP:
I concur with cannonshooter and would add that your Sabre Defence middy needs an overall barrel length of at least 16".
Welcome to the sickness and the site.
