I found the thread that listed forge marks (maker marks) but I couldn’t find mine on it…Maybe someone here can help me.
The only mark I can find on my upper is a small dot under the front of the forward assist. No square or keyhole in the regular spot below the picatinny…Please help.

Pretty sure that’s just a manufacturing flaw or maybe some kind of random index mark. A forge mark will be just under the rail on the ejection port side. Yours has none obviously. What brand upper/rifle is it?
That’s what I’m trying to figure out…I got the upper from someone on AR15.com. I was told it was married to a Colt lower…The mark looks too crisp and clear to be a flaw.
