I’ve been looking for a wall secured mount/lock that will secure my AR in a closet. I’ve looked at the weapons locks we use in patrol vehicles, and while they could be modified for home use, I’m kinda leaning toward this:

Anyone have any experience with this type mount?
I have used this lock not as a wall mount but on a rifle rack in a police car. It works great if i had a pic i would post it. I helped put one in a policecar that was later involved in an accident, the lock bent and didn’t break but there was some damage done to the rifle. All in all i think it is a good lock
I use this also in a squad and it works great. I am also considering one for the house but have not done it yet.

You may want to browse www.bigskyracks.com they seem to have a few applications that could be bolted up to your studs in the house. Just throwing out some options…

I guess these are nice because they don’t take up much more space than the gun itself (so they’re ideal for inside vehicles), but if you’re going to spend $200+ and need a key to get to your gun, then why not just get a cheap gun cabinet?
