Anyone got any AOW pics out there? Would love to see some short barrelled scatterguns :slight_smile:

Greeting,
Mine is not an AOW but a SBS. It started life as a Remington 870 Wingmaster. I moved the barrel support ring back 5.5 inches, cut the barrel down to 7.00 inches giving the gun an OAL of 17.00 inches. It hold two 2.750 or two 3.00 in the tube and one in the barrel.

Is the Saiga a OAW or a SBR? I have been thinking about getting one but not sure if it is a $200 tax or a $5 tax

It is a SBS ($200) I don’t think there are any AOW Saigas

If your state doesn’t allow SBS can you add a PG at the factory and have it manufactured as an AOW?

to classify as an AOW, the gun can have NEVER have had a butt stock on it. It had to came from the manufacture as a handgun, a pistol grip gun or bare receiver.

Yes, all Saiga’s are imported with a stock and therefore will not meet the AOW criteria. SBS is the way to go and may I say Sir you have a OUTSTANDING looking Tromix. I’ll be sending mine off this year, I’m #366.

Pardon, trying to learn here, and a few questions guys:

  1. “AOW” = ???

  2. “SBS” = Short Barreled Shotgun, correct?

  3. Difference between AOW and SBS?

  4. Serbu Super Shorty. What exactly is this? I see the pic down below, but what is “Serbu” all about?
    Been wanting a breaching tool, and wanted to get a few details straightened out first.

Biggest difference ?

AOW transfer = $5.00

SBS transfer = $200.00

So that’s a $195.00 difference.

one big difference between a SBS and an AOW is a SBS can have a shoulder stock and an AOW can not have a shoulder stock.
