I’m taking a carbine class this summer and was looking at slings. I’ve got a VTAC 2pt sling but was curious about a one point/two point sling like Magpul’s MS2 but see that they’re coming out with a MS3 this summer to correct some quality issue’s with the MS2. Coming out in the “summer” though is pretty vague and my class is in late June so I don’t think I can wait
Was poking around calguns and saw some guy that was selling was basically looks like an MS2 where you could pick from various rear attachment types…it was pretty cheap so I ordered one and as I wait for it to show up I was just wondering if anyone here has already gotten one and put it through it’s paces.
Also bought a ikickhippies’ SLAP plate…i’ve currently got a noveske QD endplate on my rifle but this seemed less busy and less noisy then the ASAP so I thought i’d try it out.
I have not taken any classes but for the drills I have been running…
Magpul MS-2 is best for me!

P.S. The only “quality” issue that I am aware of is the fact that they did not control 100% of the manufacturing of the sling (may have possible Berry compliance issues) but there are others that would be more in the know on this than me!
Lucky, I suggest you stay with VTAC until MS3 is out. I have MS2 and it is an OK sling. In classes I took it did OK; however in my most recent class, which went under heavy snowfall, one shooter ran MS2 and wasn’t happy. The webbing on that sling didn’t do well under very wet and moist conditions. He ended up changing to two-point config - in which it is inferior to dedicated two-point slings.
