Anyone know the current timeline on a 5320.20 (crossing statelines with a SBR)

I am taking a Vickers class next month and in preparing for it I filed a 5320.20 to take my LWRC and Colt Commando across statelines. The last time I filed one it only took 2 weeks, but that was before all of this craziness.

I expressed it up about the 30th of December so I would hope that I would have it back in time, but has anyone filed one lately and can give me their timeline?

A little nervous because I sold my 6920 to a friend who really wanted one but had trouble finding one and my new one is still on backorder. SBR’s are all I have right now.

Forge about it, I answered my own question with a call to WV. Sent in Dec 30th & approved January 8th…

Now if form 1’s and 4’s only went so quick…

I’ve read guys who just take the gun as long as they’ve sent the form off prior to travel. I think some dude contacted ATF at the last minute and they said to just drop it in the mail and go.

I don’t think they’d break it off in your ass unless you were doing something else illegal on your journey.

I sent one in late October, 7 day turnaround time.

Are these forms required to be submitted in duplicate, or is one enough?

Edit: Called the ATF directly and the form is required to be submitted in duplicate, and it’s sent to the Martinsburg, WV office.
