Kinda like a streamlined Matech without the elevation adjustments.
All I can find about it here is a single thread from someone that had a problem installing one on his carbines. I like the design, I prefer having the A1-type windage adjustment because it helps prevent idiots (like me) from constantly fiddle-farting with the sight. Sight it in and leave it the hell alone.
Has anyone here tried one?
Didn’t know they had this. I have thier lowers. Replaced all my RRAs with these. Tightest upper to lower fit out there. This sight should be of same quality. I’ll check on the sight with a guy that sells thier products .
Any information or opinions you can get would be great!
It’s my understanding they drill the aperture to split the difference between the A2 short (.200) and long range (.073) aperture. Something like .120", but don’t quote me on that dimension.
After corresponding with Dustin Hahn I decided to order one of these. I’ll post a review after it comes in and I’ve had a chance to play with it some.
It showed up today from Brownells and mounted right up. I’ll try and get a review written and a few pics taken over the holiday weekend, but I have to say my first impression is very favorable.
I like the look of it. Nice and flush with the rear of the receiver. Let us know how it works.
Would love to hear more thoughts on that Hahn sight as I’m considering one for a current build. Any pics?

I like the detailed description on how it mounts and how the aperture stays in a particular position:
[b]"The Hahn met all my preferences and needs. It’s machined from a solid block of aluminum, has a simple steel aperture stalk, uses a standard A1 windage wheel and attaches to the rail differently than most BUIS.
The aperture does not lock up nor down. Instead, Hahn has used what looks like a standard A1 or A2 flat aperture spring to cam the stalk into position; it snaps into either position with authority. In addition, Hahn incorporated a steel crosspin as a stop for the stalk when it’s elevated - no peening from this design.
The attachment method is different. The base is milled to slide onto an in-spec rail; after it is in position, two nylon-tipped setscrews clamp the sight into position. I had to oil the rail and gently tap the sight into position - mine was snug enough that even if the setscrews were both removed the sight wouldn’t move much.
The sight is smooth without sharp protuberances to catch on gear. IMO it’s as close to bombproof as you can get in a folding sight.

Hahn has always put out great products, I was hesitant because I was not a fan of the nylon set screw, I would like to see a 2nd setscrew to back over it atleast. Other than that it looks fantastic, I have never needed both apertures on pure BUIS.
I am also interested in hearing more reviews.
I’m still very happy with my Hahns; I have them on four carbines now. Eternal, it’s a nylon tipped steel setscrew - the nylon is just to minimize marring.
I will buy more Hahns when I need additional BUIS, I really don’t feel the need to try any others. Dustin does offer a slightly smaller aperture as an option now, I like it a little better than the original.
I must have has a brain fart when I wrote nylon setscrew. I still would feel better if it had a 2nd screw ontop.
could you measure the closed/collapsed height? I would most want mine on my rifles with magnified optics and am interested to hear whether or not they would fit.
I’m measuring 18mm to the highest point off the top of the rail.
