Anyone ever order from American Reloading?

Yeah I don’t get it (and I’d forgotten all abouy this thread HA!), I’ve loaded thousands of their pulls in the past.

I have a shitload of HST, V-Crown, XTP, etc., I’ve gotten from them, all load and shoot fine.

Hell, I carry that shit alot!

Have at least 500 rounds of pulled 62gr SP in 5.56 from them, mostly great bullets (have smoked one coyote with one of those so far), a few shitty ones that were relegated to training and got shot up. The “normals” are just as accurate as anyhing.

This last batch of pistol bullets though is enough. “Minor pull marks” my ass.

I was even getting sone wierd keyholing, which I attribute to the bullets being maybe slightly “oblonged” by the pulling process. Never seen such a thing before.

And velocity showed big ES, due to varying neck tension.

I had 38 spl load that were in the 400s fps. Some were so slow the Garmin couldn’t pick them up. Then… every so often I’d hit a bullet that was actually .357 caliber and got a full burn. Scared the hell out of me.

Little update about American Reloading if you guys haven’t seen or heard yet, looks like there charging “TAX” on sales now. If your in a tax free state then your still GTG but for all the rest of us the free ride is over. Still Free HAZ/Ship from what I can see but just wanted to let ya all know. My buddies were talking about it the other day so I went and checked it out. Still some deals to be had though.

Even less reason to order from them now.

Everglades doesn’t screw me on tax, nor does RMR.

In my case, as long as those taxes go to the coffers of The Great State of Oklahoma, I’m okay with that.

I picked up 1000 .308 175gr smks. Cheap. They look good, shoot better than I do. No complaints.

Except powder…wtf sorts of BS powder they keep in stock. Gimme cheap varget and ar comp lol

LoL,I hear ya on the powder, its Midwest powder I guess, where the hell it comes from I have no ideal! I have always had good luck with any I bought so I can’t complain. I bought powder that was like Universal years ago and I still can’t friggin find any even now, although I have moved on to others for pistol. I lucked out and grabbed 16lbs of some 308/223 type powder & it turned out to duplicate IMR8208. When they list powders “like” TAC/2230 etc its gone as soon as its listed. For me I still look almost everyday but I have sooooo much of everything I’m just not buying as much,I’m still shooting the same but I’m stacked pretty deep on most items.
I was also a big fan of Shooters Pro Shop back in the day,I have thousands of 30 cal175NM,6.5 140RDF and more 223 than I will ever shoot so it takes a hell of a deal for me to part with any $$$ now, especially that I’m retired.
I agree with ya ViniVidivici if I do need/want something special I use RMR a lot,I also have bought from Everglades and those guys are GTG.Times seem to be better for now but we will see,I know most or at least a lot of powders are imported so time will tell if they go up in price anymore because of Tarrifs, but it does seem like most are in stock from one of the many vendors, just depends on what your looking for. Good to hear you guys are in decent shape, just figured I would let everyone know that has bought from them in the past.

Yeah. The glory days of cheap, good components from American Reloading seems to have slipped away.

Shooter pro shop was awesome.
I still have like 10k 77fr .224 custom competition I bought years ago after getting a bit too liberal with my alcohol consumption at a Super Bowl party a few years ago :joy:

Went to check it out a few months ago and was very sad to see it gone.

Edit: just picked up a jug of h335 yesterday. Feels good man.
