And I ordered 1000 rds of .223 from them a couple weeks ago for $379 + $23 shipping, so obviously YMMV.
Personally, I think ammo is still relatively cheap but I also see it getting much more expensive in the future.
I also see the most common calibers (the ones in highest demand) becoming more difficult to find.
I was at “The Armory” in Virginia Beach last week. they had a pallet of PMC 1000
rds, for $400. also, at the Virginia beach gun show two week’s ago, PMC was
still $400 for a 1000 rds. hope this means ammo has stabilized.
It could have been just that dealer. We are not as lucky to find ammo like that here where I live.

dont trust the website, he can not keep it up to date as fast as stuff is going in and out.
Call him, and tell him Neal sent you.![]()
Midway has federal in today.
Here in MI we are dried up and anything you find is almost always very overpriced…
All local dealers in my area have prices marked up. Wally World is the cheapest, they used to always be dry. But lately it seems they have had .223, 9mm, and .22LR. Thats all I shoot.
I walked into my nearest Wally World and snatched up all they had. Just 220 rds to be exact. Two Federal value boxes and one box of Rem UMC.
I just need enough to take a carbine course later in the year. Sadly I’m not a stockpiler.
i usually just go here
http://gun-deals.com/ammo.php?caliber=.223
then search the sites listed in order from lowest price
i have had alot of luck with AIM and palmetto state armory. affordable shipping prices and EZ to order online. stock is sometimes out but i do check evry week for specials
AmmunitionToGo.com has .223/5.56 in bulk right now.
Brown Bear 55gr, Privi Partizan 62gr, 55gr Lake City XM193.
I was caressing the idea of buying one of those SKS rifles . They run 7.62 x 39 and I started checking for availability on the ammo … zip… I cannot find that russian ammo almost anywhere !!!It is absolutely incredible… That ammo was everywhere a few weeks ago, and cheap too… Well, I changed my mind and decided to stay with my AR for which I have a nice stockpile of .223 !!!
Local shop has 1000 round cases of Federal XM193 for $424 (including tax). Thinking of stopping and picking myself up a case or two on the way home from work.
Must give the strong two thumbs down to AMMOforGUNS.
I notice that they do not even mention that they charge an extra 3% if your use your credit card. Gee, I wonder if that is legal for a retail store? I have seen that on rare occassion in a gas station, but not in a retail store. How many people walk in with $1,000-2,000 in cash in their pocket to buy a few cases of ammo. They also reserve the right to limit the amounts that people buy. More for some, less for others I guess, based on who knows what.
The stuff listed as in stock on their web site is misleading or inaccurate. Chose your poison. They just seen to want to bait you to come in their store.
Smells very bad from here.
Holy shit! Viewing that page made me light headed. 3 years ago, i was paying $135.00 per 1000 for Wolf and around $110.00 for brown and silver bear. Good thing I stocked up back then…If your gonna spend $350.00 for that these days, you might as well buy brass.
That’s brand new inventory at ATG. Brown Bear went up $70 (from $279). Recently order 4 cases for about $300 ea. from surplusammo a couple of weeks ago, and I thought that was high. Scheiße.
Looks like Privi might be the way to go for brass cased ammo. Any comments on the quality of their brass?
I don’t reload it, but it looks just as good as Lake City to me.
Fiocchi’s main plant is about 20 miles away from me, so there’s always a stock of ammo, at least Fiocchi, at the gun shops.
Looks like the bulk Federal 5.56 at ATG didn’t last long. Damn.
