While I’m not from NJ the election of Booker has got me thinking, why bother? People told me the shutdown hurt Lonegan and last I checked Cucinelli was behind if he didn’t loose already, This along with the Obama re election had me thinking why bother? Big banks, corporations, and the electoral college and the entitlement class dominate and put these Leftist in power, that plus the delagates who represent you don’t always vote in your favor. So if your candidate can’t win why bother to vote?

Imagine how emboldened the left would be if their candidates were getring 80% of the vote in national elections. Booker only won with 55%.

It’s not time to shoot yet.
No. Let’s just sit on our asses and do nothing. That works so much better…
I find it frustrating too, however it is still important to get your vote in.
Giving up and giving in is never an option. The left would like nothing more than to have you not cast your vote.
I voted last night for Lonegan… I knew he had a snow ball’s chance in hates but at least it makes me feel better that I didn’t just sit on my butt.
The polling station was in a school all of 200 yards from my front door. There was no reason not to vote.
Like Eurodriver said, its not time to pack the musket with powder and ball… yet… so I might as well push a button in a ballot box, useless at it may seem.
We need to do what the left does before and in between elections: influence society. How much do you talk to your neighbors and coworkers to bring them over to our side? How often do you attend school board meetings? Are you a member of your local Federalist Society chapter? Too many people on our side just talk among ourselves because that’s easier, and that isn’t working.
It seems that the Left has metastases all throughout this country, I live in Philly the Republican party here is laughable my state voted for Obama twice. Now everyone is saying the Republicans will loose the House because if this shutdown I was hoping the left would loose the Senate in 2014 because of the gun grab they tried earlier this year If Hillary runs in 2016 theres no turning back
I agree to a point however I’m in Philly most people are too gone to even listen. I have no kids so don’t go to school meetings my co workers I do talk to are mostly young and buy everything the media tells them I do try to talk and show them
It’s a hard job but it’s gotta be done. It doesn’t help that the other side has been studying social influence and ideological warfare as a science for 8 or 9 decades before any of us ever knew there was a fight. But fight we must. We absolutely cannot accept defeat.
Win them over one at a time… Four years ago there were a few liberals in my office. Now there are none. Take the time, explain things, avoid politicizing stuff and simply stick to common sense. You actually can back the real cost of liberal policies (66% labor force participation, record numbers of food stamps and “disability” payment recipients, etc…) with what is now a half decade of liberal “leaders.” People will begin to see the that the “GOP boogeyman” is nothing more than smoke an mirrors designed to keep people scared and dependent upon liberal government.
I have been able to influence some people on gun rights, even took them shooting, but they still are hard leftist my gf being one. But to get them to vote against their party its damn near impossible they are so indoctrinated
The problem is we dont have 8 or 9 decades we dont even have 8 or 9 years to stop the progressive movement If Hillary gets in this county will be beyond the point of no return
The same can be said of the other side, if you know your candidate will win, why vote?
It’s never hopeless. If people can face 10:1 odds in war and keep fighting… If they can endure torture and harsh conditions for most of a decade… You can bear spending a few minutes every couple years to press some buttons or bubble in a piece of paper.
I don’t know if I would throw the electoral college into the “bad” category. If we went to a popular vote it would shift the campaign efforts to large metro areas and really disenfranchise middle America.
Ahh… the human spirit, how quaint… ![]()
I agree, I will not accept defeat and as long as they allow me to participate in the farce known as voting, I will do so.
Unfortunately, the media holds the political “high ground” and foment the destruction of the “human spirit”.
Maybe take a tip from Nazis…make as many children as possible and demand all vote as we like?
That’s what the left has done by capturing the demographics of high reproduction.
Ya know, it REALLY pisses me off that so many people were asleep on this in the 80’s to early 90’s before this got to where it is.
The electoral college has given the big liberal states like NY, California, the majority of the votes, and those states wont budge if Texas goes blue its over
Electronic voting machines = Voter fraud
End of Story.
You candidate(s) didn’t win because so few people voted for him/them.
Have you ever bothered to look at you local election results? It is astounding how few registered voters bother to vote in all elections, but especially in local only elections. If more like-minded people had bothered to vote, your candidate(s) would have won.
