me and an officer at work have been discussing the possible effect of using a duplex type round in 5.56 for a CQB style round. we are aware the military experimented with it during their “salvo” trials but what if any was the major reason it didnt catch on. i do understand the deviation between the bullets will be greater as range extends but i also believe there could be a big market for it as a self defense round. the more bullets you put in a threat the faster it stops becoming a threat. 2 55 grain gold dots or X bullets simultaneously would be devestating, let alone 2 more with each press of the trigger. just curious on any attempts or info out there on what could be a great idea.
