Another M4 feed ramps question

I am going to be purchaseing a new flat top upper receiver to add to an existing barrel. I would like to get the M4 receiver with ramps, however, my existing barrell does not have M4 feed ramps. I noticed that BCM makes a M4 barrel extension with M4 ramps. Is changing extensions an easy swap during a barrel/upper change? Thanks

Changing the barrel extension isn’t worth the cost of the labor for a gunsmith to fit a new one. It’s pretty hard to get it right. Buying a new barrel would cost less.
